1. Application Procedure and Payment of Application Fee
If you would like to join any of our part time classes please call us at 6338 1378 or email enquiry@ascend.edu.sg
We will arrange for you to come to our centre located near Clarke Quay MRT and take a free placement test to determine if you are suitable for the class.
To reserve a seat in the class, please pay the S$50 application as there are only 15 seats available in the class. Paying the application fee guarantees you a seat in the class.
The Application fee can be paid by Nets, Cash or SGD Cheque made payble to "Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd".
2. The Private Education Institution-Student Contract & Payment of Course Fee
Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd only collects course fees once the student has taken their placement test at Ascend Education Centre and signed The Private Education Institution-Student Contract. The purpose of the contract is to safeguard the students’ rights. Under the Fee Protection Scheme (FPS), Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd has an insurance arrangement that ensures course fees paid by students to Ascend Education Centre are insured by AXA Insurance Singapore Pte Ltd. The insurance protection serves to protect the students' course fees in the event Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd is unable to continue operations due to insolvency, and/or regulatory closure. Furthermore, the FPS protects the student if Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd fails to pay penalties or return fees to the student arising from judgments made against it by the Singapore courts.
Course Fee payment can be made by Cash, NETS, SGD Crossed Cheque, Cashier’s Order/Bank Draft and made payable to: ‘Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd’.
3. Miscellaneous Fees
Miscellaneous fees can be made by: NETS, cash, bank draft, money order or SGD cheque made payable to: ‘Ascend Education Centre Pte Ltd’

John Abraham ,
John was educated in Singapore and the UK. He is a professionally
qualfied teacher and has a degree in Education and History from the University
of Lancaster in England. He has worked with international students throughout
his career and his own life has been enriched by his long association with students
from a great variety of cultures and nationalities. He likes to get students actively
involved in the classroom in order to develop their language and social skills.
Apart from teaching English, John is active in his church and during his free time he
enjoys swimming, reading, watching TV and following the fortunes of Arsenal. |
Christine Tan,
With her wide ranging professional background in teaching English to the young and the younger in her formative years, to public relations and business, Christine brings to the classroom knowledge, carefully crafted, to inspire and to create excitement that brings about ease of sharing among students. Christine leads in a student-centred style of teaching to empower students, through their own thought processes, to write, read and verbalize in the English language. All this in an enjoyable, happy atmosphere. Fishing around the waters of Indonesia, reading and art are blissful moments during her leisure. |
Ambreen Qureshi,
is a US citizen. Teaching has been her passion. She recently completed the Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers (CIDTT) here in Singapore. Prior to this, she had several years of experience in teaching English language to students of varying ages as a volunteer here in Singapore and professionally in Pakistan. She is a compassionate teacher who likes to make her classes fun and interesting. Sho goes the extra mile to help her learners reach their potential. She is friendly, helpful and approachable and uses these strengths in the classroom to help her learners learn better and faster. She loves to read, get to know people and do stuff outdoors.

Part-time Course Certification
Ascend Education Centre issues a Certificate of Attendance for students who achieve at least a 75% attendance record for this course. There is no formal examination for this course. |
