Welcome Message from David Doyle, CEO of Ascend
Welcome to our English Language School in Singapore where learning English is interactive, cultural and fun. Our small class sizes mean you have more time to interact with your teachers and fellow students from around the globe.
Our professional English teachers come from Ireland, Denmark, Canada, UK, Australia and the USA while our students come from Korea, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Russia, Spain, Cambodia, Mongolia and South America.
Together we make learning
English at Ascend an interactive and cultural experience. You will also learn more English outside the classroom with Ascend while having fun joining in our ‘English
Cultural Activities’ (ECAs). These are social activities our teachers organize for you once a month for you so that you can experience using your English in a friendly and relaxed environment.
In September 2005, Ascend received the
CaseTrust mark for Education which means that the Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE) has inspected our school and given us a certificate to show that we have good student welfare practices; clear fee policies and a well thought out student complaint process; trained teachers and administrative staff, and a clear statement reflecting our commitment to quality. In line with our commitment to quality, I declare that:
- Ascend has 4 full-time professionally qualified English teachers
- We have a maximum teacher-student ratio of 1:15.
- Ascend has classrooms each with a capacity of 15 students each.
- Our English school is able to take 130 full-time students.
- English Cultural Activities (ECAs) are organised monthly by our teachers.
- We have a Student Protection Scheme as required by the Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) in the form of a Student Tuition Fee Account with the Development Bank of Singapore (DBS),
- We have a clear breakdown of tuition and non-tuition fees on our website and on our registration form.
- We have a clearly stated refund policy on our website and our registration form.
- Any personal information provided by you will be kept strictly confidential and is used only for the purpose of administering admission into Ascend.
